Dr. Atty Smith grew up in Minnesota and knew from an early age that she wanted to help people. She did her undergraduate work at the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota, where she graduated magna cum laude and with Delta Sigma Delta honors. Dr. Smith received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry in Minneapolis. Upon graduating, she worked in private practices in Minnesota and Nevada. She has now found her home in beautiful Oro Valley, Arizona.
Dr. Smith has a passion for providing customized, high-quality dentistry based on the latest technology and training methods. To ensure this high level of care she has attended some of the top postgraduate institutions, such as the Scottsdale Center for Dentistry, the Spear Institute, and the Las Vegas Institute. She enjoys helping her clients in many aspects of dentistry, including cosmetic, restorative, and preventive care.
Most importantly, Dr. Smith is passionate about educating her patients so they fully understand their dental diagnosis and the choices they have for their dental care. She firmly believes an educated patient makes the best decisions.
Dr. Smith has been married for 25 years to her husband Rory, a Tucson native, and they have two beautiful daughters. They enjoy the many outdoor activities that Oro Valley has to offer such as golfing, biking, and hiking. They truly enjoy raising their children in this city and are proud to be part of the community.
Jean was born and raised on a military base in Asia. She earned her bachelor's degree in English from the University of Alaska Anchorage and went on to become a certified dental assistant. In 2005, she moved to Arizona with her husband and two daughters and has made Tucson her home. She feels blessed to work in the great field of dental administration, which she has done for over 25 years. She truly enjoys helping people attain and maintain their dental health. Her hobbies include reading, baking, hiking, and she LOVES to travel.
